Instructions for Using OdorXit Eliminator
- Vacuum, sweep or wash (carpet, hardwood, dog) the odorous area first before applying OdorXit. Mix 4 ounces of Concentrate to one gallon of tap water in a clean garden sprayer.
- Spray or saturate the total source of the odor.
- Let dry.
- If the odor is better but not completely gone, reapply the solution to a larger area. There is still a spot that OdorXit hasn’t neutralized so spray or saturate a larger area!
Using OdorXit Eliminator on carpet, concrete or grout
Add a carpet shampoo containing "surfactant" to the Concentrate and water solution. If it doesn’t say “surfactant” on the label, don’t use that brand. Mixture should be 4:128:12 (Concentrate/Water/Shampoo). This will penetrate deeper into the surface to eliminate odors faster.
OdorXit Eliminator diluted with water can be safely applied directly to carpeting, flooring, walls, furniture, bathroom tile, cabinetry, concrete, fabric, leather, and many other materials and surfaces to eliminate odors. It can also be used in combination with carpet cleaning and laundry detergents (excluding chlorine and oxygen bleaches) for one step cleaning and deodorizing of carpet and fabric.

Normally, OdorXit Eliminator is best applied with either a trigger sprayer or a 1/2-2 gallon yard or deck sprayer. The ½ gallon size and 16oz size empty sprayers are available on our website.
A UV (Ultraviolet Flashlight) is also available on our site. This makes 95% of urine glow under the black light so you know exactly where the smell is coming from and can apply the OdorXit solution direct to the odor.
You can also use a solution of OdorXit and water in a carpet cleaning machine (with or without carpet shampoo) for large carpeted areas though it is much less effective that using a deck sprayer, or in a washing machine for fabric and rugs small enough to fit into the machine.
OdorXit is fully compatible with detergents. It works well at any temperature from 5° to 130° F. OdorXit even eliminates odors that remain and continue to emerge after the application of a germicide.
