Tired of trying baking soda, vinegar and tomato juice or peroxide for skunk smell removal on your dog?   How did that work for you?  Was the odor completely gone?  Did your dog smell like skunk again the next time he got wet?   Did he get skunk smell into your living room too?

Simply follow these simple instructions and this skunk odor removal will have your pet smelling better than normal IN MINUTES!

Skunks can spray your dog or cat from up to 10 feet away and leave them reeking for weeks and sometimes even foaming at the mouth!

  • Bathe your pet as you would normally using a vet approved detergent pet shampoo.
  • Rinse your pet with warm water. Make sure that you get good suds going where ever there was skunk spray, even on your pets’ face. The detergent shampoo removes much of the oily skunk spray and makes what’s left easier for the OdorXit Concentrate  and water to neutralize.
  • Mix 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of OdorXit Concentrate with one quart (32 ounces) of warm water in a large bowl.
  • Dip each of the dogs feet in the bowl to completely wet them between the toes and up the ankle.
  • Apply the OdorXit  solution with a sponge to ALL other the parts of your pet that were sprayed including their mouth.
  • Use a wash cloth or sponge dipped in the OdorXit Concentrate solution  to apply OdorXit  to your pets’ face and ears using a downward motion, start at the pet’s forehead and move downward over the eyes when applying solution to your pet’s face to avoid getting product in your pets’ eyes.
  • With a wet sponge, wipe the inside of the dogs mouth, lips, tongue and teeth.
  • Use the same sponge or cloth and treat the underside of the fur by rubbing upward against the grain of the fur to coat all of the skunk spray.
  • Do not let OdorXit Concentrate  solution to run down into your pets’ inner ear, but make sure the underside of the ear flap is wetted with solution.
  • Wait approximately 5 to 30 minutes then rinse your pet with warm water. Towel dry your pet and allow your pet to finish drying naturally.
When you need to cut the smell quickly to reduce the skunk odor on your dog before the OdorXit  Concentrate arrives, the hydrogen peroxide formula available here for free stand-by recipe for items already in your home.  Be careful you cannot get the peroxide in their eyes, ears, mouth or nose.  It just doesn’t get rid of the odor 100% and your dog can still get skunk smell on your furniture or in your house.
  • Once dry, your pet will no longer smell of skunk and the OdorXit  odor will fade quickly, normally 1 or 2 days. The skunk odor from the current spraying will not return.
  • If your pet still smells of skunk, a part of the animals fur has been missed with OdorXit . Sniff their skin to find where the skunk smell is still hiding and retreat that specific area with OdorXit Concentrate  solution.
  • You will have 100% skunk smell removal with this process, guaranteed!
“I want to commend your website and your product. At 11:30 last night our dog got sprayed in the face by a skunk. I did a web search to come up with a solution and found a wide range of advice. My husband was about to go out to get peroxide when he remembered that we had OdorXit. He told me to check your website and sure enough I found instructions for helping poor Charlie. They were so well written and very sensitive to the needs of the dog. I was very impressed with the thoroughness and detail. We followed the instructions and though Charlie was not completely odor free it was vastly improved and he was able to spend the night in the house. Thank you!  Laura L. California*

The recent storms that have ravaged multiple parts of the US have caused unprecedented damage. If you or your loved ones were affected by any of these storms, our thoughts and best wishes go out to you. Because these storms were so large in scale, people have experienced everything from moderate to complete damage.

Since getting rid of bad odors is our area of expertise, we want to help anyone who lost power for an extended period of time during one of these storms but didn't face complete damage to their home and belongings. Even if you're dealing with a refrigerator that smells incredibly bad due to it being fully defrosted and having items like frozen food decompose for days or even weeks, we want to go over how you can fully restore your appliance to its former condition.

5 Steps to Saving Your Refrigerator After Losing Electricity

The first step is to remove all of the spoiled food. This can be a truly nasty and smelly experience, which is why you'll want to wear a protective mask and gloves as you do it. Once your refrigerator is clean, take it outside and spray it out with a garden hose. If you have a truck or access to one, consider taking your appliance to a car wash and use the high-powered equipment to spray it out.

The next step is to spray one ounce of OdorXit Concentrate mixed with 30 ounces of water everywhere the refrigerator smells. That means spraying the insulation behind the doors,

under and around the door gaskets, the inside, behind the drawers and every little opening where the defrosted food might have dripped. Once the OdorXit Concentrate solution comes in contact with the rotten food smells, it will remove them from your refrigerator completely and safely.

The second to last step is to let the refrigerator dry outside then bring it back in the house. Don't panic if it still smells a little. It just means there is still at least one spot that hasn't been treated yet. You'll be able to knock it out by continuing to sniff and spraying wherever you detect even a slight odor.

The final step is to remember to be a good neighbor! Spray a few shots of the OdorXit Concentrate solution in the drain at the car wash or wherever you ended up treating your appliance. Anyone who comes by after you will be very glad you did.

By following the process above, it's possible to save even the worst smelling refrigerator, which in turns means saving hundreds of dollars by not needing to buy a replacement. So if you know anyone who's currently trying to restore belongings like their refrigerator, feel free to share this post with them by email or on Facebook.

While spring cleaning is something that most homeowners think about and many take part in, it’s easier for people like college students who are living in dorms to overlook. But just because spring cleaning may not be as common throughout college dorms doesn’t mean you should skip it.
