Portable toilets like those found in construction sites, festivals, and road side rest areas have an odor that is truly unique and unpleasant. And though they are certainly convent and necessity to stay out of the way of the police, they can be very unpleasant to use.

OdorXit Magic completely absorbs the malodors produced in holding tanks by adding just 4 ounces of OdorXit magic (just 1/2 the 8 ounce bottle) to a normal sized tank. It will start working immediately and work for up to 3 months or until the tank is emptied.

Magic by OdorXit

Magic by OdorXit uses a new, fast, safe and very effective approach to solving odor problems. It is a clear, water based mist that absorbs most odors. Magic by OdorXit contains no fragrances, bacteria, enzymes or cover-up fragrances.

Technical Explanation: Most malodors are gasses that react with the olfactory membrane in our noses to produce an unpleasant experience; it therefore stands to reason that if a product can absorb or alter the gasses causing the unwanted odor, the offending odor will be either neutralized or taken out of play.

Simplier Explanation: That is exactly what Magic by OdorXit does. When sprayed on an odor source or simply into the air containing the unpleasant odors, Magic magically absorbs or alters the gas so that we do not smell it or identify it to be a malodor.

Technical: Like all absorption-based products, Magic can absorb a finite amount of odor causing gas at which time it must be re-applied to eliminate additional odor causing gas.

Simplified: Magic works like a sponge. Once it absorbs as much as it can, the additional odor isn't absorbed and you start smelling the odor again. This means it's time to spray Magic again because it is a long lasting odor eliminator - measured in days and weeks - not spray it every day - and is completely effective on a very broad range of malodors as listed above.

Magic is simple to use. Lightly spray Magic into the affected air or onto a surface near the source of the odor or directly onto the odor source.

To prevent bathroom odors, direct 3 or 4 pumps of the mist sprayer onto the bottom of the toilet seat (a nearby surface).

For treating large areas like bathrooms, showers, kitchens, portable and public toilets and other areas with tile or cement floors, add 4 or 5 ounces of Magic to the mop bucket or detergent or rinse water and mop it on and allow it to dry.

An alternative to using OdorXit Magic is to put a 10 gram packet of OdorXit AQM ClO₂ in the unit. This tiny package will not only control the odors but control the bacteria on the surfaces as well. Placing this small packet near the top of the unit will keep it out of harms way and put it in exactly the place it needs to be to do its job.

The 39 day release version of the OdorXit AQM ClO₂ product will last for 20 to 30 days during which time it will continue to kill bacteria, mold, viruses, and odor. If less than $1 per day for real health and odor control is too much for your profit margin, you are not charging enough for your service.

Air Quality Manager (AQM) - Air Borne Chlorine Dioxide

Safety for Manufacturing Plants and Water Plants Chlorine dioxide has been used in water treatment and pulp treatment plants for over 150 years for pulp bleaching. It is neither chlorine or a bleach. It is a potent and useful oxidizing agent (neutralizing) used in water treatment and in bleaching.

Smaller Scale and Home Usage A much smaller, but important, market for chlorine dioxide is for use as a disinfectant. Since 1999 a growing proportion of the chlorine dioxide made globally for water treatment and other small-scale applications has been made using the chlorate, hydrogen peroxide and sulfuric acid method, which can produce a chlorine-free product at high efficiency. (Wikipedia) OdorXit's revolutionary technology micro pouch contains sodium chlorite and one of several hygroscopic acids (absorbs water). When combined by moisture, these two chemicals allow chlorine dioxide to be made in smaller qualtites than are needed in a water treatment facility and can be shipped safely and legally.

Being in the same room with the CLO₂ pouch while it is producing CLO₂, in most cases is acceptable. If you can smell a chlorine/swimming pool like smell, a fan should be turned on to circulate the CLO₂ and should not breathe it for long periods of time. You should not be in the room or car while a 25gram weight Fast Release AQM pouch is being used or you have sped up the reaction time of a Slow Release AQM pouch with a tablespoon or more of water. Additional water/moisture produces more CLO₂ than the EPA/OSHA recommends for continuous breathing exposure.

What OdorXit AQM Usage Will Do OdorXit's Chlorine Dioxide product AQM - Air Quality Manager - will safely oxidize/neutralize a wide range of malodors including tobacco smoke, fire smoke, spoiled food, fish, animal scent spray (including cat and skunk), animal and human excrement, bed pan, sick room, and cooking odors. Chlorine dioxide has been shown to also kill mold fungus, mold spores, and many germs that can make us sick like MRSA, C-diff, Legonella, Rhino Virus, and many others..

Like all oxidization-based products, OdorXit AQM can neutralize or oxidize a finite amount of material. This being said, if the pouch size used is not large enough to do the whole job, using another pouch or larger pouch will continue the process until it is completed. With a subsequent re-contamination as is the case with mold and bacteria, the treatment simply must be repeated. This fact does not detract from the fact that OdorXit AQM is fast acting and completely effective on a very broad range of malodors and pathogens available to be treated at the time of treatment. Because there is no CLO₂ residue, there is no residual CLO₂ action and no need to wipe up CLO₂.

Regardless of the type or size of AQM packet used, if the relative humidity is less than 40% or the temperature is lower than freezing the reaction will not take place. Raising the temperature above freezing and raising the humidity by adding a few (2 to 4) drops of water is all that is necessary for the reaction to start and continue. More water will increase the production rate of CLO₂ and reduce the life of the packet by as much as 80%. Laying the fast release pouch on a damp paper towel will insure that the fast release products have enough water to finish in 20 to 30 hours.

Increase the Effectiveness of CLO₂ Using a small fan to stir up the air in the area being treated will increase the effectiveness of the treatment significantly. In most cases, a ceiling fan or a 4 to 7 inch electric fan will do great. Here is a 4 inch fan available in the fan department of most WalMart for about $7.00...and yes its made in China, and yes we would like to sell them but buying 10000 is beyond our ability to pay for or store. A 4 to 7 inch fan is a great size for a bathroom or bedroom, but is not big enough for a 1000 to 2000 sq ft basement or family room which needs a 12 to 24 inch fan. Remember, CLO₂ is about 2.5 times as heavy as air and the point is to get the CLO₂ to the odor causing stuff in the area being treated. Without a fan, the CLO₂ will simply lay on the floor.

The reason for the 2 versions of this product is to address the need to produce effective results in a very short period of time with the Fast Release while the treated area is un-inhabited, or treating the same problem over a longer period of time while it is inhabited.

Keep this and all odor control products out of reach of children. AQM is the big gun in odor control and should be treated with considerable respect.
